Blogging through the Bible in 90 Days (RoundTwo?)

This invitation is coming late, but I hope you'll be interested anyway!

Inspired by the wonderful folks at Blogging through the Bible in 90 Days (thanks, Sister Steph!), I invited some folks from my church if they would like to embark on this journey for ourselves. So far only one other person has decided to go for it with me. But I suspect a few others just may join in before the end. (I haven't advertised it too well. Mea culpa.)

But it occurs to me that some wonderful folks who are part of the RevGal blog ring may have wished they had participated in this event the first time around and might be interested in joining us for the journey in round two.

Or maybe some wonderful folks who are not a part of that blog ring may be interested in doing this too? (Cyen? MBG? BG? RBR? SRF? DRD?)

If you are, check out the site I've set up for round two at Travelers Together. Then send me an email, or leave a comment on this blog to let me know you'd like to join in.

The idea was to start on Easter Sunday, but you could start up when you'd like.

Let me know!

Yahoo!!! I'll send you an invitation to the new blog. (I'll use the email from our profile. Let me know if that's not right.)

I'm so excited you're in!

You've piqued (ha, had to look that word up, it means to irritate, so maybe that's not the right word here ;) my curiosity... I checked the link and I like their attitude of "it's all good". I don't know how long I'll be able to accompany you all on this journey, but I always have wanted to read more of the Bible and what better way. I feel if I can get past all the "begats" I'll do well? email me about which email to send the invite to :)
Thanks!

How exciting! Best wishes to all of you. Last fall we did Bible in 90 Days as a church-wide project celebrating the 20th anniversary of our church--over 120 folks began and about 70 finished.

It is a profound experience that truly reveals the whole panorama of scripture. Blessings for the journey.

Jen,
I'm in. Reading the Bible in 90 days, between diaper changes and feedings, actually sounds great.
Thanks for the prompting.

PS it's great to be in touch again, even through cyberspace. Hmmm what would Ellul think of this whole phenom?

Hi Merv,
I'm glad to refer you to the schedule. You can find it on the Zondervan website. Here is a direct link: Reading Plan. (It's in pdf format.) This schedule is for Today's New International Version Bible translation, though I'm just following it using my NRSV.

Hope this helps! Email me if you'd like to be a part of the blog and I'll send you the invitation. You can reach me at jennifer@shellridge.org.

Peace to you.

MBG,

What would Ellul say indeed! Ha! You cracked me up with that one.

Send me an email at jennifer@shellridge.org and I'll send you back an invite to the new blog. :)

I am interested too. Been too long since I actually read the bible, not only lectionary texts. I'm hesitant, though, and would like to see more about the reading plan. I couldn't get the link you offered to Merv above to work. Do I need to create an account or something with Zondervan to see the plan/schedule?

Hmmm, yes SRF, I see you're right about that link. Argh.

I'll email you the pdf file directly. And I'd be happy to do the same for Merv and MBG when I get your email addresses.

(And anyone else interested)

Peace to all.

Thanks for the invite, but I think I'll sit this one out.

Maybe when you do read the Da Vinci Code in 90 days.

Yeah, I'll try it this time. I was in the middle of a move for the last go round and couldn't even consider it. Do I have to buy the special bible so the number of pages come out even??

Great, purechristianithink! Send me an email (at the address listed in the comments above) and I'll send you the invitation to the new blog.

Glad you're in on the fun!

(No special Bible needed. After all, why come out even when you can come out odd?)

Awesome!
The 90 days started before I was part of Revgals and I would have liked to be part. So count me in as well.

I will aim at staying for the 90 days. We'll see.
